From a travel blog to a baby blog...

As newlyweds, we frantically crammed 7 fabulous trips together before popping out babies. So this originated as a travel blog back in 2009....
But now we're trading in the suitcases and passports for strollers and poopy diapers! Yay for the greatest adventure of all: Parenthood!

Thailand

So, we're BACK from a fabulous month in Thailand. Highlights include:

Riding an elephant through the jungle.
Elephants are such magestic animals; I will never forget this experience.

Taking authentic Thai cooking classes.
First we shopped at the local markets for fresh ingredients - all the herbs and spices. Then, we prepared green curry, red curry, cashew chicken, varioud Pad Thai noodle dishes, a few different desserts... from SCRATCH!
We even got a cookbook so hopefully we can replicate the recipes at home and impress our friends and family :)

Visiting an elementary school in a small Thai village.
Josh was quite the novelty - I am sure they don't see many 6'6 blue-eyed/blond-haired men - and the children adored him!

-A 7-day sailing adventure through the Gulf of Thailand. It was absolutely unforgettable live on the catamaran, eat fresh meals prepared by the on-board chef, get tonnes of swimming and snorkelling in...

So, basically it was an AMAZING month. SO much good food, soaking up so much culture, browsing unbelievable markets that sold everything from fried crickets to fake Rolex watches...
Oh - and we LOVED getting massages almost every single day that month - who can resist when it only ends up costing ~$6-8 FOR AN HOUR!

But after 42 hours of travelling, and adjusting to a 13-hour time difference, I am now appreciating my own comfy bed.... there really is no place like home sweet home!
