So I've been cloth diapering for 3 weeks and absolutely LOVE it!
To be honest, the idea of washing pooey diapers doesn't sound very good initially; while I was pregnant I was adamant that IF we went with the cloth -diapering route, we'd use a diaper service. But after talking with a few of my fabulous cloth-diapering friends, I was convinced that washing them at home was a lot easier than it sounded... and they were right! Thanks, ladies!
Now that ALL my diapers have finally arrived, I took a picture of Baby J's beautiful stash.
So colorful! My faves are the sassy animal prints, and the CUPCAKES. Oh god, I love anything with cupcakes. She already has a blanky, bib, winter hat, and shoes with cupcakes on them...
(Now I just need to find a diaper with my other love (elephants) on it, and I'm set... haha!)
And since I'm already doing laundry for the diapers, I figured it was easy enough to use cloth wipes, too. I use small cotton flannel and bamboo washcloths, and then wet them before each use. I found a great "recipe" online for the wipe solution - a dollop of Burts Bees body wash, a squirt of baby oil, and then fill it with water. I put it in a the perfect bottle with a squirt top, which was actually the peri-bottle that the hospital sent me home with. LOVE LOVE LOVE that there's no nasty chemicals being rubbed against Baby's most sensitive areas!
Anywas.. *brushes off hands*....
I feel so domestic and GREEN... and am lovin' it!

I'm so impressed! Those diapers are too adorable :)
